This walk, which starts and finishes in the town centre, is the ever popular overview walk covering Bournemouth's history and also its modern day attractions and facilities.
As we walk along, Bournemouth's history from its days as a popular area for smuggling through its time as an invalid resort to its present status as Britain's leading holiday resort will be discussed. A visit to the Shelley Tomb in St.Peter's Churchyard, where the town's links with the family of the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley will be explained, will be included.
