We shall stroll through the streets, parks and gardens and along the cliff-top of Boscombe as your guide describes its evolution from wild heathland to the busy district it is today. The rise and later development of its three major estates will be charted as well as the history of two of its churches.
The walk will include a visit to Corpus Christi Church (exterior only), the site of the former home of Sir Percy Florence Shelley and a walk through Shelley Park and Boscombe Cliff Gardens, a gift to the town from the Shelley family. The Boscombe Walk normally begins and ends at the Christchurch Road end of the Royal Arcade, Boscombe.
